.,."does not look like a reference book. The very attractive,
glossy, black and white cover with assorted green star designs
gives the book the look of a much more commercial venture. Also, it
is an inviting book to pick up and browse through. It will help
librarians to assist patrons with reader's advisory questions, and
it is a book patrons will enjoy using directly. In a way, To Be
Continued reminds me of a good cookbook that is fun to read - all
the recipes sound good.... This will be helpful for students with
school assignments to read a certain literary style....a valuable
addition to both academic and public libraries - medium-sized and
larger. High school libraries will need it as well. I recommend it
to bookstores and bookdealers as a valuable tool to have whether
selling new or used books. Not only is it a comfortable book to
thumb through, but it serves the purpose of informing and
encouraging us about possibilities for further reading. That should
make librarians smile."-The Review Section
.,."it does do some good reference work for people interested in
sequels dealing with science fiction, fantasy and horror....a good
start in charting the many sequels in the genre of science fiction,
fantasy and horror."-Science Fiction Research Association

?...it does do some good reference work for people interested in
sequels dealing with science fiction, fantasy and horror....a good
start in charting the many sequels in the genre of science fiction,

?A worthwhile addition to a public library or high school library
reference collection or a helpful "behind the desk" reference at
library reader's advisor desks. Recommended.?-The Book Report
?It's all here, a most extensive compilation. Whether you're an
educator, a scholar, or just an avid reader, To Be Continued is a
tool no book hound should be without.?-Public Library Quarterly
?Readers wanting to follow plots and characters from one of an
author's novels to another will welcome this excellent guide to
sequels that the authors define as novels that tell a continuing
story or are united by a regional, philosophical, or social
theme....Reasonably priced, easily used, and attractively designed,
this guide will be worthwhile purchase for libraries with even
modest fiction collections.?-American Reference Books Annual
?There are several features in this handbook, but the most valuable
is the way it is indexed: by title, genre, subject, and time and
place....Particular literary forms that could not be classified
into a genre such as allegories or diaries, are also represented
here....most entries include subject headings and so are still
accessible from one or two points beyond the author's name and book
title....This capably organized handbook is a useful tool, given
the recent resurgence of readers' advisory services. For libraries
where a print source has to serve as the readers' advisor, this
book will be a lifesaver.?-Booklist/Reference Books Bulletin
?This work has many attractive features, including a sample entry,
definitions of terms used in entries, a list of additional sources,
and indexes for titles, subject and literary forms, genre, and time
and place....recommended for all libraries.?-CHOICE
