K. RAJAGOPAL, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli. He received his M.Sc. degree in physics from Madras University and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in the field of nonlinear optics. He has more than twenty-five years experience of teaching physics to undergraduate engineering students. Dr. Rajagopal has published more than thirty research papers in reputed journals. His research interests include neurophysics, ultrasonics, and nonlinear optics. His name has been included in the twenty-seventh edition (1999) of Dictionary of International Biography published by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, as well as in Who's Who in the World, 15th edition, 1998, published by Marquis Publishers, USA.
