Reviews

Review from previous edition 'Beautifully produced and written, and laudably clear in what it sets out to do ... Both erudite and stimulating.' German Teaching
'A book which fills a basic need of German programs in English-speaking institutions: an introduction to the linguistic investigation of contemporary German ... It should prove to be a valuable textbook to accompany semester-long courses, and individual chapters could also be used to introduce more specialized topics in the analysis of modern German.' Zeitschrift für Dialektologie und Linguistik
'A valuable addition to the body of works on contemporary German' Zeitschrift fur Germanistische Linguistik
