About the Author

Denise Walker has a BA in Chemistry and an MA in Biology. She has over ten years teaching experience in both subjects at secondary level. She is also an official A-level examiner. The consultant, Dr Lionel R Milgrom, was a senior lecturer in chemistry at Kingston and Brunel Universities and a senior visiting scientest at Imperial College London. He is also a freelance science writer.
