Raised on a mixed diet of Enid Blyton and war comics the author has always loved working with words. After studying English Literature at university he taught English living in Italy, Spain, Crete, Brazil and Venezuela. He is married and lives near Oxford though they still have a rather run-down home in Italy.
'Lost in the Flames is gripping and provides the reader with an insight into how life was for the crews of Bomber Command. All of this is delivered in an evocative and emotional story which induces suspense, smiles and tears. Having met many veterans over the past two years and hearing their accounts of their service in the Command I can see how much research went into this novel and how much empathy Chris Jory has for their story.' Nicky Barr, Director, International Bomber Command Centre
