Paula Vogel is the author of The Baltimore Waltz and other plays and The Mammary Plays, which includes How I Learned to Drive, seen in the West End with Helen McCrory in 1998 and won Vogel the Pulitzer Prize. Both volumes available from NHB. Most of her plays deal satirically with aspects of sexual politics. She has directed the MA playwriting programme at Brown University and is enormously respected in the American playwriting community.
