About the Author

Lives in a small town in Midwest near the Missouri River and comes from an agricultural family. Her favorite children's authors growing up were Shel Silverstein and Donal Hall. She also loves any book illustrated by Barbara Cooney, especially, the Ox Cart Man. When she's not writing, she's hiking and photographing nature.
