GEORGE HART was NEH Post-Doctoral Fellow in Literatures of the Environment at the University of Nevada, Reno and is currently assistant professor of English at California State University, Long Beach. He is widely published in environmental literature and poetry. SCOTT SLOVIC is Professor of Literature and Environment and chair of the graduate program in literature and environment at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is the author of numerous articles on eco-criticism and has written or edited ten books including The ISLE Reader: Ecocriticsm, 1993-2003.
