Reviews

'Beautifully written tribute to a mother by a devoted and loving daughter. Gundel's story touched me in a personal way as I followed her life's journey, kept alive by her beautiful writings and poetry stored in two suitcases. Every raw human emotion is laid bare in this wonderful book " "I have today had the privilege of reading the most beautiful story of one woman's life I have read in a very long time. A life that didn't last long enough, but was both ordinary and extraordinary in its qualities it brought me smiles and tears. Definitely one to keep.""How beautifully you have conveyed historical events together with your mother's journey. I read with pleasure your outline of the rich cultural life of Guni and her family. And then I felt sad as the tragedy of those dreadful Nazi years unfolded.""Beautiful description of your family experiences and the hardship that they and you went through and the dreams and frustrations. It makes me reflect that even with all these ups and downs "life is beautiful"
