Yami Lester is a Yankunytjatjara man--an Indigenous person of northern South Australia--who has worked for the Aboriginal Advancement League, the United Mission, and the Institute of Aboriginal Development, fighting for Aboriginal land rights and promoting cross-cultural issues and programs for Aboriginal communities. He is the author of Yami: The Autobiography of Yami Lester.
