"I have purchased many of Julia Cook's books. They are very good
for working with Elementary school children. This book in
particular, I can't believe you said that! is a wonderful resource
for working with students on what to say and what to think. Boy's
Town Press seems to have the best prices as well." - M
Wawrzynski
"This book is so great - an oldie but a goodie for talking about
social filters and thinking before we speak. I'm wrapping up using
it with my fourth graders tomorrow and reflecting on a change I've
made when reading it (letting in some laughs!). Shared a little
more in my instastories (and will share more about the lesson
tomorrow)." - Sara, @theresponsivecounselor
"RJ is such a relatable character - nearly everyone has experienced
a momentary lapse of their social filter! This book describes the
connection between thoughts and appropriate social responses, using
contexts that children have likely encountered themselves. A
perfect resource to introduce children to the importance of social
mindfulness." - Jill D. Kuzma, M.A., CCC-SLP
