Promotional Information

Whereas most golf books are stiff, formal and paralysing, Grip It and Sip It will get readers to loosen up and play golf the way it was meant to be played: The John Daly Way. A funny and ribald golf book from the game's most colourful and controversial figure -- and least likely guru. / His previous book, My Life in and out of the Rough, has sold over 165,000 copies worldwide in hardback. / Daly has a massive constituency that buys everything with his name on it: t-shirts, lighters, golf clubs, and country music cds. According to Sports Illustrated, only Tiger Woods, arguably the greatest golfer who has ever played, draws bigger galleries. / Daly is a regular guest on chat shows, and grabbed headlines and pictures in all media around the Open last year when he performed with his band in Liverpool's famous Cavern Club.
