Glenda Jager was born in Warwickshire , England, and moved to Lusaka, Northern Rhodesia - now Zambia - with her family in 1949. Here she met and married her Dutch husband Bert. They traveled widely through Africa and Europe and moved to Kloof, Natal in 1991. She has two daughters both living in South Africa. Glenda only started writing late in life and her first children's novel which was written with the "Danger" trio in mind. She won the South African Writers Circle Quill Award in 2010.
