Tom Wood is an actor and a playwright. He has worked on stage across Canada and, yes, even at the major festivals. He is best known as a playwright for his previous play, B-Movie, which had three separate and increasingly long productions in Toronto.

Reviews

Claptrap is both clever and ambitious: onstage shenanigans and offstage drama.
*Letters in Canada*

Woods B-Movie: The Play...won the Chalmers Award for Best New Play, as well as five Dora Mavor Moore Awards. Claptrap seems destined to repeat that success.
*Canadian Book Review Annual*

The characters are well-drawn [and] distinct enough that following along, though never simple, becomes a big part of the fun... [Claptrap] is a good reason to start thinking about reading plays for fun.
