Reviews

This follow-up to Weber's Something on the Side gives readers another fantastically, juicy glimpse into the lives of the Big Girls Book Club, first started in New York by Tammy. Now her best friend, Egypt, opens the Richmond, VA, chapter with new members Loraine and Jerome. Loraine is a powerful, independent entrepreneur with anger/control issues and a rocky marriage to Leon. Loraine's best friend/enemy (depending on how you define friendship) and business partner, Jerome, is loved by women and men but possesses an overwhelming desire for seducing married men on the down low, until he meets his match. And Egypt has her own troubles, having to ask her estranged sister, Isis, for the ultimate favor-to serve as a surrogate for her and her husband (Isis's ex-fiance). Verdict Fans familiar with Weber's clever plots and excellent pacing will not be disappointed and will eagerly anticipate his next installment, Torn Between Two Lovers.-Lisa Jones, Birmingham P.L., AL Copyright 2010 Reed Business Information.
