Michael J F Bowyer's interest in aircraft began in the mid 1930s when he started recording the ever increasing East Anglian aircraft activity. Those embryo steps led him, in the late 1940s, towards becoming a well known and respected aviation writer and to achieving a truly lifelong association with the Royal Air Force. Michael has followed a largely academic career and is a current lecturer, media contributor and internationally respected historian. Michael lives in Cambridge.
