About the Author

Teria Robens comes to fiction-writing as a second career. Although she had written stories since childhood, in 30 years, she'd published only in her profession. Several years ago, TR locked herself in a hotel room to study for a re-certification exam. After a week of focusing on professional information, she couldn't hear her fictional characters, and panic came with a powerful realization: TR wanted to be a successful fiction writer more than she'd wanted anything else in her life except her kids. Her characters returned in about six weeks. They did not apologize. TR joined the Romance Writers of America and made lifelong friends in the Windy City Chapter. She started attending writers' conferences, and her work earned competitive admission into several university-level master classes in creative writing. She spent years inside her characters' heads before publishing What the Mirror Sees. This is the first book in TR's Diva series with heroines who've been on the planet long enough to develop some wisdom along with their insecurities. Like you, these grown women struggle to put themselves higher up on the "To Do" list once they realize that it's not too late to reach for their dreams. TR is a girly girl who has also earned a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. She and her husband raised two amazing young adults and live in the Chicago area with a cat who loves water and plays "fetch." Living her dreams in retirement, in addition to writing, TR travels to destination spas and takes voice lessons. She's also improving her roller skating skills and learning to ride horses and motorcycles. TR would love to hear from you. Follow her on Facebook and join her community to give feedback about her books, share your wisdom, find out about upcoming publications, blogposts, events, and contests, or just because. www.teriarobens.com.
