About the Author

let me tell you about my life. 18 year old writer/seattle. 17 years of milk and honey. i had never tasted bitter until i met you. and with you came the storm. the waves. the wind. harsh cold and unforgiving. threatening to tear me apart slowly and all at once. i watched as it took everything. everything but my words. and so i got on my knees and found them in the darkness. words that turned into lines that turned into stanzas that turned into poems that turned into everything. and after all has been said and done, i believe in silver linings. chasing sunsets. good in bad. and that is what i set out to fill my pages with. and if there's one thing i hope you walk away with is that you are loved. you are loved you are loved you are loved. i could write a thousand poems about those three words alone. you are loved and you are not alone in your struggle and never will be and it gets better. and i think that's where we go wrong. we put up so many masks and so many walls that we forget. we forget that we can love each other through the good, the bad, and the ugly. that we can uplift each other in all that we do. that we can remind each other of the beauty within ourselves and the goodness in every day.
