Following Sacred Bones' release of two volumes of John Carpenter's Lost Themes -- the legendary horror director/composer's first non-soundtrack recordings -- the label issued two 12" singles containing four of his most well-known theme tunes from the early days of his career. This one includes "Halloween," with its distinctive, instantly memorable piano melody, and the slower, more grandiose "Escape from New York."
